Geert Coenen has more than 40 years of experience in the field of architecture, urban planning and interior design. Geert Coenen worked as an architect and director for Jo Coenen &Co Architekten until June 2011. He founded his own office in July 2011 together with Bettina Sättele. The portfolio of assignments includes urban, architectural and interior assignments of various scales Geert Coenen has experience with complex inner-city tasks, which are often characterized by a multifunctional, complicated program.
As supervisor for the municipality of Sittard, he is responsible for the urban design and concept development of numerous projects in the historic city center of Sittard, Zitterd ReviSited. Realizing unique architecture projects including interior and furniture design are part of his daily work. His characteristic designs are the result of an on-going dialogue between the clients, the location, its history and its residents. His everyday design approach is identified by meticulous attention to the concept and details of the project solutions.
